Science Alliance: Piecing Together the Puzzle – Advancements in Autism
April 16 @ 2:00 PM - 5:30 PM PDT
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a complex developmental disability, typically appearing during childhood and affecting a person’s ability to communicate and form social relationships for their entire life. The US CDC estimates that today ASD affects 1 in 59 children in the United States, and there is currently no approved medication to treat ASD core symptoms. Join Johnson & Johnson Innovation – JLABS and Janssen R&D for a short symposium to hear from a patient as they describe their journey managing this challenging disorder, and from top southern California researchers and scientists dedicated to finding potential solutions to better serve patients and families that are affected by ASD.
